Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst

The primary responsibility of this position will be for all aspects of the corporate operating budget. This includes serving as project lead during the annual budget development process, on-going maintenance and monitoring throughout the year, investigating and reporting budget variances, and generating monthly budget to expense reports.

Depending on qualifications and experience, we will fill this position with either a Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst.

Qualifications for Financial Analyst

  • Education: Associates Degree in Accounting or related subject. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum two years' relevant experience in a business setting. A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for experience.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Knowledge of office practice and procedures; ability to use standard office machines; ability to review and maintain accurate and legible records; ability to review and prepare reports using simple arithmetic computations and computer spreadsheets; knowledge of computers and relevant software; ability to work independently with minimal direction; ability to communicate effectively orally and through writing; and ability to prioritize tasks and schedule work time. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications for Senior Financial Analyst

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant area of study.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years solid experience with budget development and management, financial statements, and financial analysis. Proficiency with the complete Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel required. Experience with other financial software and database applications preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Have a capacity for understanding and using numbers and statistics, able to develop conclusions and option from data. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, able to work independently and management multiple concurrent projects; adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Effective communication skills both oral and written, including the ability to adapt presentation and style to different audiences. Also key is the capacity to listen, collaborate, and understand other perspectives as well as the work flows and processes of diverse areas within the corporation.
